Reminiscing Ribeiro

Our reminiscence sessions included visits to see the Retracing Ribeiro exhibitions at the Burgh House & Hampstead Museum and the Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre in Holborn, utilising artefacts from the Ribeiro archive and our partners’ collections.

These sessions sought to capture people’s personal recollections of their lives and their experiences of growing up in London, particularly over the post-war years to explore how life had changed in their local areas through these living testimonies. Our participants took part in painting sessions and their work was then hung alongside Ribeiro’s artwork in the exhibitions.
