Burgh House and
Hampstead Museum

Burgh House launched the Retracing Ribeiro project in October 2016, exhibiting over 60 pieces of Ribeiro’s artwork alongside items and ephemera drawn from his archive and Belsize Park studio. With Hampstead having been his home for most of his life, the exhibition explored Ribeiro’s life and work in London’s NW3, also featuring a rare series of watercolours, inspired by nearby Hampstead Heath, shown alongside Ribeiro’s iconic oil paintings.

Associated talks by Marsha Ribeiro and a ‘Ribeiro Rediscovered’ evening with the artist’s biographer, David Buckman, and a series of workshops were delivered over the course of the exhibition.
